David is an internationally known Drug Safety Physician with more than 15 years' experience. He was previously the Global Head of Drug Safety and Epidemiology at Instil Bio, where he was responsible for all PV activities globally. Previously, he was the Global Head of PV and Epidemiology at Allogene. Before Allogene, David was the Global Head of Patient Safety and Epidemiology at Kite Pharma until acquisition by Gilead. He has also worked for Roche-Genentech, Shire Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly in roles of increasing responsibility.
David holds an MD degree from the University of Zimbabwe and did his post graduate training in Internal Medicine (UK), Pharmaceutical Medicine and also holds an MSc in Epidemiology from the University of London. David is a regular presenter at the DIA, World Drug Safety Congress and the European Pharmacovigilance Congress. He is also involved in the training and mentoring of PV scientists and PV Physicians.
